My Travel Bucket List

As soon as this pandemic is over I can't wait to resume my travels. I have been to a lot of places and countries in the world but there are still quite a few places on my bucket list.

  1. Alaska

  2. Colorado

  3. Costa Rica

  4. Cuba

  5. New Zealand

  6. Greece

  7. Ireland

ALASKA

I put this trip as number 1 on my list because this is going to be my 40th birthday gift. So next May or June I will be going with boyfriend, friends and family to my first cruise ever to Alaska! I have been dreaming of going there for a long time and unfortunately I know that I cannot postpone this trip too much longer because of what we have been doing to mother nature. It's no secret that glaciers are melting and some animals disappearing. Off course I also want to still be able to lift that use telephoto lens I will need to rent for this trip!! Hahaha.

There are a couple of different options for an Alaska cruise:

I haven't really looked in depth yet at the options. I will need to make a decision and probably book one of the cruises by the end of the year. My dream trip to Alaska however would to go with National Geographic but unfortunately those trips cost between $6,000 and $12,000. I guess I should start playing the lottery from now until the end of the year, you never know!

Apart from the cruise which would be the only to view some parts of Alaska and wild life, I would love to be able to add an amazing scenic train ride. I think it could be added onto the cruise trip. I just need to find out how many weeks I need to plan for vacations for this trip!

Colorado

I am hoping this trip could happen at any time and maybe during Thanksgiving this year??

A few places on my list in Colorado:

  1. The Great Sand Dunes

  2. Strawberry Park Hot Springs

  3. Rocky Mountain National Park

  4. Hanging Lake

  5. Garden of the Gods

  6. Denver

I don't think I will be able to do all those sites in 4 days if we do decide to go there over Thanksgiving but I will be ok with half! Or even 4 days in the hot springs I guess!!
